Our daisies are popping up and beginning to open. Loved the colorful bokeh caused by the orange Daylilies in our garden! :D

It has been awhile since I’ve used textures on any photos. I was playing around last night and thought this came out pretty. What do you think?

Butterflies never seem to frequent my flower garden, so I’ve never tried to capture one of these beautiful creatures on camera. I finally got my chance when we were up at The Traveling Trainer’s for Kayla’s horseback lesson. Middle of the day, bright sun, and my little point-n-shoot… not bad, huh?

I find it amazing that such a beautiful plant could survive despite my lack of gardening skills. But this hosta not only survived but bloomed with beautiful purple flowers.

God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me.” He added, after a pause, looking me full in the face: “That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave”

You may be whatever you resolve to be. (From General Stonewall Jackson’s personal journal)
