Butterflies never seem to frequent my flower garden, so I’ve never tried to capture one of these beautiful creatures on camera. I finally got my chance when we were up at The Traveling Trainer’s for Kayla’s horseback lesson. Middle of the day, bright sun, and my little point-n-shoot… not bad, huh?

I find it amazing that such a beautiful plant could survive despite my lack of gardening skills. But this hosta not only survived but bloomed with beautiful purple flowers.
