I know there are many ways to convert an image to a toned black-and-white image. I just love the toned images that result from Lilyblue’s actions but am unable to afford them at this time. Plus, they wouldn’t work in GIMP anyway.
So I experimented with toning images in GIMP. You can simply use the FX-Foundry’s EG Duotone script to convert the image to black-and-white, but I converted it to black and white first to have greater control over how I wanted it to look (using the green filter for example).

Love to know what you think!
I think you are very talented with your experimentations in GIMP. This photograph is adorable.
First, she is precious and this is a fabulous shot.
Second, love the processing.
